feeding while deaf

top-bars propolized to the roof

I fed two bags of sugar to all the colonies on the farm alone and deaf today. The bees kept me in check, reminding me to not make any fast or sudden movements. Once I got into the rhythm of moving slowly and fluidly, it became a peacefull meditation. It was very relaxing working with them in silence and focusing on the scents, vibrations and movements of the hive without the distraction of trying to make sense what the different frequencies of their buzzing and humming meant. As it got darker, the bees were more aggressive and despite how slowly I tried to move, they did not want me to intrude so late.
